I believe that Chiropractic care has two pathways. The first is acute/chronic pain management. Here, the doctor is seeing the practice member on a more frequent basis with a more in-depth initial examination to identify the root cause of the practice members primary concern. From there, I can work with the practice member to develop the best steps moving forward. Once the practice member begins to see reduction in symptoms and their nervous system is beginning to adapt can they move into the second pathway (corrective/maintenance care). More information in the tab below.

In Corrective/maintenance care, the goal is develop long term health. Your body is constantly adapting to the stress that are placed upon it. Anything from your daily posture while sitting at work to giving it your all at your local recreational sports game can cause spinal dysfunction or subluxation which places stress on your nervous system. Over time, the stress will build upon itself and the nervous system will be unable to adapt.
It is out duty to correct these spinal dysfunctions through routine adjustments. Not only does this open the door for your brain to communicate with your body, it also allows your nervous system to self-regulate, adapt, repair and heal at a more optimal level.

The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of subluxation and/or SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neurobiomechanical function in the sacral/pelvic region is improved.
Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.

While chiropractic care primarily focuses on spinal alignment and joint manipulation to alleviate pain and improve function, physiotherapy emphasizes rehabilitation through targeted exercises, stretches, and manual techniques that build strength, increase mobility, and prevent recurrence of injury. Integrating these modalities creates a more holistic and individualized treatment plan that addresses both the underlying causes of musculoskeletal issues and their functional impact on daily life. This collaborative approach not only speeds up recovery but also provides practice members with tools for long-term wellness and injury prevention.
